The Best Tea Blend To Ease Your Cramps

As a woman, I’ve experienced excruciatingly painful period cramps. I know what it’s like to skip out on events or call in sick to pop some Tylenol and lay in bed, rolled up into a ball for hours.

Did you know that it’s possible to get rid of your cramps naturally?

A few years ago I wouldn’t have believed you.

I’m happy to report that I have found a method that works for me, and now I can fully function comfortably on my period, with minimal to no pain. Crazy, I know.

Don’t get me wrong, it will take effort on your part to get to this point. But it’s better than being out of commission for a week.

Step 1:

Track your cycle!!

I use two different cycle trackers, The Flo App as well as the 28 App. Tracking your cycle helps you become aware of what to expect, so you can prepare and optimize your days accordingly.

The 28 app is my favorite because it tells you which phase of your cycle you are in- menstrual, follicular, ovulatory, or luteal.

Not only does it tell you what to expect in terms of energy, it also shows you the best types of workouts to do as well as the best types of foods to eat (and avoid) in every phase. (And it’s free!)

Step 2:

Focus on your fuel.

Diet is crucial in determining how you feel during your period. Especially the week leading up to it, you should be on top of your game.

When I’m eating unhealthy, fried, or sugary foods, I tend to be in more pain the following week.

When I eat clean, fresh, whole foods and limit my sugar and caffeine intake, my body responds very well.

Step 3:

Drink a cycle supporting tea.

The week before and week of, I am consciously consuming herbal tea blends that help support my cycle. I've created a delicious custom blend with loose leaf teas that I think has been the biggest game changer for me.

The blend consists of:

Raspberry leaf

Nettle

Dandelion Root

Rosehip

It’s a lot, I know. But each ingredient has many wonderful benefits.
